What If... Carmelo Anthony replaced Kawhi Leonard last season?

by Andrew Melnick, Soobum Im- USA TODAY Sports from http://fansided.com/2014/05/29/nba-rumors-san-antonio-spurs-pursue-carmelo-anthony/

Carmelo Anthony is known for one-on-one plays. If he was a part of the San Antonio Spurs roster, the chemistry would not be there or would Carmelo flourish in Gregg Popovich's system? Kawhi Leonard had a huge impact in the playoffs especially on the defensive end. Would the Spurs have won the championship if Carmelo was their starting small forward? He would had to guard Lebron James for seven game series which would have been a difficult task because he uses most of his energy scoring.

Would Carmelo actually give up scoring 25 points a game in order to win a championship? If he listens to Popovich's advice, he could make a name for himself and people would want him as a teammate. As of now, the New York Knick's are struggling with and without him. Carmelo is not the same player as Kawhi Leonard and if he was replaced by Carmelo on the Spurs roster, they would not have won the championship last year.
